About APEX/ECLIPSE Systems, Inc.
APEX/ECLIPSE Systems, Inc. (AESI) was first
incorporated in December 1999 by a small group of retired engineers
from the legendary Westinghouse Electronics Systems team. They all
were friends and colleagues of Dr. Harry B. Smith, the inventor of
Pulse Doppler and AWACS Radars, and the principal founder of AESI.
Their goal was to develop and then patent Dr. Smith’s ideas for new
signal processing and communication technologies he had conceived.
From its early beginnings until October 2007, the Company’s
activities were funded entirely by this small group of individuals.
They were successful in their efforts and the Company now owns five
(5) published patents, with a number of Applications pending.
In October 2007, the Company was reorganized and a limited number of
Dr. Smith’s friends and associates were invited to invest in the
Company with the objective of commercializing (in the civilian
market) the unique signal processing and communication technologies
covered by the Company’s patents. The AESI technical team has made
good progress with a limited number of specific platforms and
application; however, further development could require
significantly more capital than is available to the Company. In
addition, Dr. Smith passed away early in August 2008 and the current
management team is evaluating its options. |
